Reaction ARF

Reaction ARF is an all-composite radio-controlled jet designed for Sport flying. The design is based on the famous Reaction 54 by Bruce Tharpe with his full permission and support. Construction & Assembling Guides - click here

With composite construction, modifications were made to the fuselage shape and wing airfoils to maximize the performance. Large wing area yields low aspect ratio and unique NACA airfoil combines for docile and forgiving flight characteristics. At slow speed, the Reaction ARF flies like a big RCM trainer, yet the sleek and strong airframe design allows hot jet performance at high speed. The Reaction ARF will do all demanding jets maneuvers with precisions.

The wings and flight control surfaces are manufactured with vacuum sandwich technology. We use aircraft grade Helex C75 light weight foam insert which laminates for strong surface skin with an exceptional structure strength. Another great benefit of the Helex C75 laminate is its closed-cell moisture resistance characteristic which ensures material bonding strength consistency under changing environment and storage time/condition.

The Reaction ARF fuselage has ample of room for easy equipment installation. The engine is simply mounted under the fuselage just aft of the wing trailing edge for easy access and maintenance. The Reaction ARF can be flown with or without retracts. However, flight performance/safety is enhanced with installation of PST Heavy Duty 90 degree tri-gear retracts/brakes or a high quality aftermarket retracts system. PST landing gear is offered as a complete set including retracts, struts, wheels, main gear brakes, and accessories. Retracts use pneumatic Air-In/Air-Out system while the brakes can be activated by either hydraulic or pneumatic.

ARF Kit includes customized 2.5 Liters fuel cell and hardware packages.

Optional 1 Liter Fuel cell: Available at US$60 each. The optional fuel cell fits directly underneath the main fuel cell. An add on for advanced flyer upgrading to larger turbine. Comes with all necessary plumbing and hardware.

Optional 3.8L Fuel Cell: Replacement of the 2.5L Standard tank at an additional of US$60
